About the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Activity Atlas
The Marzahn-Hellersdorf Activity Atlas is the digital directory of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Activity Network: As a resident, you can find all sports, exercise, and nutrition programs in the district all in one place. What is the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Active Community Network?
The Marzahn-Hellersdorf Physical Activity Network is the central point of contact for promoting sports and physical activity in the district. It is supported by the Marzahn-Hellersdorf District Sports Association (Bezirkssportbund Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V.) in close cooperation with the Marzahn-Hellersdorf District Office. The goal is to connect clubs, daycare centers, schools, businesses, and recreational facilities with one another, thereby creating more and better physical activity opportunities for all age groups in the district. Originally funded as part of the “Strengthening Berlin’s Large Housing Estates” program by the Senate Department for Urban Development, Construction, and Housing, the project is now financed with the district’s own funds.
The Marzahn-Hellersdorf Exercise Atlas is sponsored by the Marzahn-Hellersdorf District Sports Association (Bezirkssportbund Marzahn-Hellersdorf e.V.) and is carried out in close cooperation with the Marzahn-Hellersdorf District Office .

The Three Pillars of the Movement Network
Our qualified physical activity coordinators are active in a wide variety of communities throughout the district and work along three main pillars:
01
Evaluation
Identify existing services and determine unmet needs in the district.
02
Networking
Identifying actions, launching projects, and mobilizing stakeholders.
03
Communication
Organizing the networking sessions and communicating all available services to citizens—that is exactly why the Movement Atlas was created.
The Movement Atlas is thus the tangible result of the third pillar: a digital tool that the Movement Network uses to make its work accessible to everyone in the district.
Networking & Getting Involved
The Movement Network—an open network of dedicated advocates for sports, consisting of clubs, businesses, local governments, recreational facilities, schools, daycare centers, organizations, and many other committed participants—holds regular meetings to exchange ideas. The network plans and launches initiatives, builds connections among its members, and supports one another with resources and expertise.
