Do you enjoy being active, are you good at inspiring others, and would you like to get involved in your neighborhood? Then we’re looking for you! For the project “Intergenerational ACTIVE in Marzahn-Hellersdorf,” we’re currently building a pool of exercise instructors who will design local fitness programs for children, families, and seniors. What is this project about? From November 2025 through April 2028, FFM e.V., the Association of Alternative Health Insurance Funds (vdek), and QPK will collaborate to establish a network that sustainably promotes physical activity, social interaction, and well-being in the district. The goal is to strengthen preventive health care for children and seniors alike. On average, there are five courses per month, each consisting of six sessions. The offerings range from playful sports classes for children to exercise programs for seniors. Who We’re Looking For We’re excited to welcome the following new additions to our team: Experienced instructors who are interested in offering new classes in the district Newcomers who are passionate about exercise and want to earn a certification So you don’t need to have a license yet. The project recruits and trains new instructors. What to Expect Classes for kids, families, or seniors, right in your neighborhood Training and Professional Development as Part of the Project A flat-rate volunteer allowance for your service Support through professional project coordination Part of a growing network of clubs, organizations, and dedicated individuals in the district More than just a class: a model for all of Berlin The pool of exercise instructors is intended as a “blueprint”—a model that can also be applied in other Berlin districts. This creates a structure that will have an impact beyond the project’s duration and bring physical activity into people’s everyday lives in the long term. Through your involvement, you’re directly helping to build something sustainable. Sign up now! Would you like to offer courses or get certified? Or do you know someone who would be a perfect fit? Get in touch with us—we’ll connect you with the right partners.
